Announcement of winning works at Hanmaeum Art Competition

At the '23rd Hanmaeum Art Competition', a national contest hosted by the Ulsan Nam-gu Cultural Center, Nam-gu Nam-ja's 'Leopard Curtain Painting' in the folk painting category, Kim Cheol-soo's 'Hangeul Past Art' in the photography category, Lim Young-gyu's 'High Kick' in the sculpture category, and Park Hwa-jeong's 'Hangul Calligraphy Category'. The grand prizes were won by ‘Hungyesansonga’, Yoon Gyu-jin’s ‘Maewoldang Teacher Poetry’ in the Chinese calligraphy category, and Kim Si-hyang’s ‘A Good Day’ in the painting category.
The 23rd Hanmaeum Art Competition Steering Committee held a contest from July 23rd to 25th to select the winning works in the literary painting, folk painting, photography, sculpture, Korean calligraphy (modern, calligraphy), Chinese calligraphy, and painting (Korean painting, Western painting) categories. 137 points were announced.
“We conducted the evaluation with fairness and objectivity as the top priority,” he said. “We will continue to prepare for this to be an influential art competition that can promote Ulsan to the whole country.”
The awards ceremony will be held at the Jangsaengpo Cultural Warehouse at 3 p.m. on September 11, and 137 winning works and the works of recommended and invited artists will be displayed at the same location from September 6 to 20.
