Lee Kang-in fake news, YouTubers earned 700 million won in 2 weeks

An analysis showed that YouTube channels that spread fake news about Lee Kang-in, who was at the center of the controversy over the discord between players of the Qatar Asian Cup national soccer team, earned about 700 million won in revenue in two weeks.

On the 3rd, artificial intelligence (AI) company Filer announced, "361 pieces of fake news content about Lee Kang-in were posted on 195 YouTube channels for about two weeks from the 14th of last month."

Representative fake news titles include “Lee Kang-in’s intentional assault witnessed,” “Lee Kang-in’s imminent release from PSG,” and “Lee Kang-in’s third sexual assault exposed.”

In particular, a YouTube channel with about 60,000 subscribers uploaded a video titled "Lee Kang-in's 28 billion won contract terminated, PSG Seoul Store's complete suspension confirmed!" and recorded more than 500,000 views, earning at least 14 to 32 million won in profit. It is presumed that it was obtained.
