Oh Hyun-kyung passed away on March 1 at the age of 88 at a nursing home in Gimpo.

She had been fighting the disease for about seven months after suffering a stroke in August last year.

In particular, her warm smile and delicate acting earned her the nickname 'Nation's Grandmother' and established her as an actress respected by many.

Oh Hyun-kyung's funeral was set up in room 12 of the funeral hall at Severance Hospital in Sinchon, and her burial place is Cheonan Park Cemetery.
