KBS-YLab join hands to create content IP value!

Through this agreement, the two companies agreed to act as mutual strategic partners and to increase the value of the original IP and cooperate in content planning and production based on this.

At the agreement ceremony on this day, KBS Drama Center Director Moon Jun-ha proposed cooperation on not only dramas but also webtoons, web novels, and spin-off content production projects through reinterpretation of classic Korean characters such as Hong Gil-dong and creation of a new world view, and KBS's drama production. He said that if we synergize our capabilities with YLab's character development and webtoon content production capabilities, we will be able to globalize Korean classics to the next level.

Baek Chung-hwa, CEO of YLabplex, proposed to KBS domestic broadcasting program production and programming support for the various IP series proposed by YLab, adding that if KBS's planning and production know-how and global network are utilized, the content IPs of both companies will become global. They expressed expectations that it would be carried out effectively.

As strategic partners, the two companies agreed to jointly plan and produce content such as webtoons, web novels, and dramas, while actively cooperating in the global commercialization of IP, contributing to strengthening the global competitiveness of the Korean content industry by maximizing the value of content IP.
