After hearing the story, the production crew immediately requested help from a wild bird center capable of rescuing eagles. Director Hwang Dae-in of the Han River Biological Conservation Research Center, who arrived at the scene shortly after, inspected the animal with the naked eye and noted that it was less than a year old and its right wing was missing. The diagnosis was that it was broken.

Seeing him dragging his hind legs since he was a baby, the family who visited the hospital were shocked to hear that Jjang-ah had no cartilage in his hind legs and that surgery was impossible because he was too young.

However, the family took care of Jjang-ah with utmost sincerity, and held his hind legs together with a rubber band, which kept spreading out due to lack of strength. One day, he started walking with his hind legs raised.

Even when she went out for a walk, she walked in a handstand position, so her grandmother was often hurt by comments made by people who did not know Jjang-ah's situation.
