The names of Song Ae-kyung, her son Kang Bok-dong, and her daughter Kang Jeong-suk, who were exiled to Sangju, are listed in the mortuary set up in room 1 on the first basement floor of the Asan Hospital funeral hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
At 1 p.m., a condolence wreath was placed in front of the funeral home from Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Yoo In-chon, Lee Ja-yeon, president of the Korean Singers Association, and singers Kim Yeon-ja, Kim Yang, Park Gu-yoon, Park Kang-sung, Hyun-sook, Bae Il-ho, Jang Cheol-hyuk and Tak Young-jun, co-representatives of SM Entertainment.
Afterwards, he formed the band ‘Hyuncheol and the Bees’ in Busan in the 1970s, but disbanded in the 1980s and went solo.
Upon hearing the news of the deceased's death, fellow singers such as Tae Jin-ah, Kim Su-chan, and Park Gu-yoon, as well as pop music critics Lim Jin-mo and Park Seong-seo, expressed their condolences.
