
Legendary wrestling legend ‘Brown Bear’ Hwang Dae-woong dies in fall

According to the police and fire, Mr. Hwang fell from the 11th floor rooftop of a rehabilitation hospital in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon at around 2:32 pm on the 4th.
The police and fire department believe that Mr. Hwang fell from the rooftop railing while he was hospitalized and are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
Mr. Hwang was active in the Ssireum arena for over 10 years, winning the Cheonha Jangsa twice and the Baekdu Jangsa six times, and announced his retirement in March 1998.
Hwang dominated the wrestling arena with his overwhelming strength and skill, earning him the nickname 'Brown Bear'.
