Gijang, Busan, where the Overseas Koreans' Office supported the permanent return and settlement of Sakhalin compatriots and their families who were forcibly relocated to Sakhalin, Russia during the Japanese colonial period, is now a warm home for overseas Koreans.

The first neighborhood walk in 2024, held with the energy of the blue dragon, begins in Gijang, Busan.
