IU shares warmth by donating 200 million won for winter heating expenses

Singer and actress IU conveyed her warmth for neighbors in need.

IU's agency, EDAM Entertainment, said on the 1st, "On the 31st, IU, under the name of 'IU Anna', joined the 'Korea Senior Welfare Center Association' to help the underprivileged with heating and welfare have a warmer winter during the bitterly cold winter. “We donated 200 million won for heating expenses to a total of four organizations, including the ‘Korea Child Welfare Association,’ ‘Korea Unwed Mothers Association,’ and ‘Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled.’”

Last January, IU gave a helping hand to the charity briquette collection fund for low-income and vulnerable groups in Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and on Children's Day, she also donated her talent to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation, a child welfare institution.

Additionally, on her May birthday, she donated 300 million won to the Heart Heart Foundation, Straight Donation, Korea Unwed Mothers' Family Association, Korea Vulnerable Elderly Support Foundation, and Comprehensive Support Center for the Elderly Living Alone, and on her debut anniversary on September 18, she donated 300 million won under the name of 'IU Anna'. They were reported to Seoul Asan Medical Center, Korea Child Welfare Association, and Seoul Children's Hospital, respectively.
