Proven to be a master of historical dramas with ‘Goryeo Khitan War’

Choi Soo-jong won four categories, including the grand prize, feature-length drama excellence award, popularity award, and best couple award, at the '2023 KBS Drama Awards' held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul on December 31 and 1, 2023.

With this, Soojong Choi won the grand prize for the fourth time on KBS alone, setting a record for the most awards ever.

In addition, he continued his reputation as the 'Emperor of historical dramas' by winning the grand prize for the fourth time in a historical drama following 'The Legend of Ambition' in 1998, 'Taejo Wanggeon' in 2001, and 'Daejoyeong' in 2007.

In his acceptance speech, Su-jong Choi said, “I am really happy and honored to receive the grand prize,” and “I was even more honored that teacher Dong-jin Lim presented the award.”
