Jeon Cheong-jo, who defrauded 3 billion won by impersonating a third-generation chaebol, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the first trial.

Regarding Mr. Jeon's crime, the court pointed out, "As soon as he was released from prison for numerous fraud crimes, instead of showing remorse, he approached a famous person and plotted to commit fraud in order to swindle more money."

Mr. Lee, known as Jeon Cheong-jo's head of security, was indicted on charges of aiding the crime by recommending investments to victims and obtaining about 200 million won of the fraud damages despite knowing Jeon Cheong-jo's true identity.

Nam Hyun-hee denies the charge of collusion with Jeon Cheong-jo, and Songpa Police Station plans to reach a conclusion within this month.
