Park Soo-hong's older brother was charged with embezzlement in the first trial. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison. His sister-in-law was found not guilty.

The results of the first trial were released for Mr. Park's brother and his wife, who were accused of embezzling billions of won, including the appearance fees of broadcaster Park Soo-hong (53).

The court found Mr. Park guilty of embezzlement, acknowledging that he arbitrarily spent the funds of the corporation he was running.

However, Park Soo-hong was found not guilty on the charge of embezzlement of personal property.

Park Soo-hong's older brother and his wife were in charge of Park Soo-hong's management for 10 years from 2011 to 2021 and were accused of embezzling billions of won, including company money and Park Soo-hong's personal funds.
