The Gwanak Journalists' Association, a group of journalists from Seoul National University, selected SBS President Bang Shin as the winner of the 'Journalists' Grand Prize' in the broadcasting category and held an awards ceremony.

At the awards ceremony held at the Press Center on September 5, the Gwanak Journalists Association said, "SBS President Park Moon-shin has been in the media field for 35 years and has contributed to the deepening of broadcast news, digitalization, and social contribution activities. “We are awarding the journalist grand prize in recognition of his contributions to media research and journalist support projects,” he said, explaining the reason for the award.

SBS President Bang Shin said in his acceptance speech, "I think this is an award I receive on behalf of all those who have been considering a career in journalism not only at SBS, my agency, but also at the Kwanhun Club and many other journalist groups," adding, "35 years ago, I received the award as a journalist. “When I chose to do this, I thought ‘finding the truth’ was the biggest topic, and even now, finding the truth is still the media’s fateful task,” he said.

The Seoul National University Journalist Grand Prize is an award given to alumni who have fulfilled their mission as journalists and contributed to the development of journalism and become examples.
