Former LG Twins player Lee Cheon-woong donated 12,600 masks to the Korea Leukemia and Pediatric Cancer Association for children with cancer on December 10.

He said, "I lost my close friend Lee Doo-hwan, who played for the Doosan Bears and KIA Tigers, to cancer 12 years ago, and I also became interested in the association when I experienced health problems a few years ago. I also like children, so I would like to help them in any way possible."

“I had a lot of worries about whether I could give it to them,” he said. “It may be small, but I hope it will be a Christmas gift to the association and to patients who are struggling against the disease for a long time.” He said he will continue to show interest in the Korean Leukemia and Pediatric Cancer Association.

He said he would do his best to help.

The donated masks will be delivered to children with cancer who have weak immune systems.

Cheon-Woong Lee is currently working as a coach at Dong Seoul Dreams B.C., the first non-profit corporation related to baseball education in Seoul, which supports the strong growth of aspiring players by providing the best environment and various optimal systems.
