<Documentary ON> There are no blind spots in security - police officers on the streets

2025-01-18 08:41:05

Unlike the existing district unit, which focuses on reporting situations to 112 and patrols in a vehicle in teams of two, the mobile patrol unit patrols crime-vulnerable areas on foot in groups of seven to eight people.

Through this, the biggest goal is to prevent crime by preventing security blind spots by solving everything from patrol to crackdown and arrest of wanted criminals.

The Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency has Inspector Jeon Jin-hwan, a ‘Jeonjin Man’ with an excellent arrest record of more than 2,000 arrests per year, and Inspector Kim Chan-gu, a ‘Communication Man’ who listens to the stories of citizens.

Inspector Jeon Jeon-hwan walks more than 30,000 steps a day and arrested more than 2,000 cases, including illegal immigrants and wanted criminals, last year.

We listen to every word of the citizens we meet on the street and provide immediate solutions to their needs using information that can only be found on the spot.

Today, the mobile patrol unit takes a step closer to the citizens and makes Korea safer by running with their feet and listening with their ears.
