Director Hong Sang-soo's 33rd feature-length new film, "What Does Nature Say to You," has been officially invited to the competition section of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival on February 13th.
This is director Hong Sang-soo's six consecutive invitations following his previous works "The Woman Who Ran", "Introduction", "A Novelist's Film", "In the Water", and "A Traveler's Need".
At the Berlin International Film Festival, director Hong Sang-soo won the 67th Silver Bear Award for Best Actress for “On the Beach at Night Alone,” the 70th Silver Bear Award for Best Director for “The Woman Who Ran,” the 71st Silver Bear Award for Best Screenplay for “Introduction,” and the Best Novelist Award.
He won the 72nd Silver Bear Awards Jury Grand Prize for “Movie” and the 74th Silver Bear Awards Jury Grand Prize for “A Traveler’s Need.”
In the invitation letter to the Berlin International Film Festival, Executive Director Tricia Tuttles and the two program directors said, "We all look at your most recent work and look at the language and rhythm of the form that makes this film, and the insights it contains."
