Korean Traditional Music Festival Lunar New Year Project

On the weekend that marks the end of the nation's biggest holiday, Lunar New Year, the Korean traditional music festival prepared a folk song feast where amateur singers from all over the country gathered in one place.

 

In this stage, which was hosted by announcer Ga Ae-ran and national singer Nam Sang-il, the 11 performers (teams) who went on stage after an intense preliminary round showed off their hidden skills and talents that they had honed over the years.

Kim Tae-wook, a singer who appeared in the National Singing Contest as a folk song star and challenged himself to the National Folk Song Contest, a grandfather with his 4-year-old twin grandchildren in Busan, Ulsan Chunhyang Mongryong siblings where idol dance and pansori meet, a confident mother and daughter who claimed to be public relations ambassadors for Dangjin, South Chungcheong Province, from traditional Korean music to wrestling.

Even police officers who love traditional culture! 

Participants of various ages, genders, and occupations came together to show off their special love for our sound and showed off their talent and wit.

From Gyeonggi, Seodo, and Namdo folk songs to pansori, master amateur singers from all over the country gathered to show off their sounds. The judges of the stage were MZ University students who are in love with Gwa Pungmul, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, and not only judged them, but also performed an exciting congratulatory performance.
