‘Blue Sandpiper Cousin’ photographed by its discoverer, Lee Seung-hyun, a third-year student at Munsu Middle School in Ulsan.

The endangered wild species Class Ⅰ 'Blue-legged Sandpiper' was observed on the coast of Seosaeng, Ulju-gun, Ulsan.

Ulsan City announced on the 31st that after receiving a tip from Seung-Hyeon Lee, a third-year student at Munsu Middle School, at around 7 a.m. on the 26th, they checked the site and discovered one Blue Sandpiper.

Until Mr. Lee personally filmed the Blue Sandpiper, there was no record of this bird coming to the coast of Ulsan, and there were only rumors that ‘someone saw it.’

They identified one Blue-legged Sandpiper feeding along with Yellow-footed Sandpiper, Silver Sandpiper, Cocktail Sandpiper, and White-billed Sandpiper on the seashore rocks and recorded it through photos and videos.
