The KBS Chuncheon special documentary 'Sea Fog' selected for this FIGRA Film Festival was selected in the 'Land of History' category and was selected as KBS' first and only Asian work.

The special, which will be broadcast on KBS-1TV (Gangwon region) today, Wednesday, June 19th at 7:40 PM, will be a story of Europeans at this FIGRA Film Festival about the 'spy manipulation case of kidnapped fishermen returned to North Korea', which will be perceived as a somewhat unfamiliar story to Europeans. It contains the current stories of fishermen after appearing in Sisaeng and 'Sea Fog'.

In addition, it is a program that arouses interest and support for a path for them to enter the world, and is a program that has been subject to all kinds of surveillance and prejudice for over 50 years simply because they are the people who were kidnapped by North Korea in the 1970s and 50 years have passed since their return, and their families. It tells the story of ordinary people who had to survive.

Producer Kim Young-kyung said, “As with many historical events, we recorded their stories by focusing on the stories around us living today, not the stories of the past, and worked on the production with the belief that their stories would one day be heard.” “As this is still an unfinished case, I hope that we will continue to bring attention to the many victims who have not yet been acquitted,” he said.
