KBS, controversy over subtitle mistake

At the celebration ceremony on this day, the Seodo Band performed the folk song 'Hangeul Afterparty' as a congratulatory performance, and the part of the lyrics, "Giyeok nieun digwit ri-eul" appeared repeatedly.

However, KBS used the incorrect spelling, "Remember me, remember me" when broadcasting this section as subtitles.

Viewers raised their voices of criticism, saying things like, “Does it make sense for a public broadcaster to make a mistake like this?”, “As a Korean, I’m disappointed”, and “It’s pathetic to make a spelling mistake on Hangeul Day.”

The opera included Kimigayo, a symbol of Japanese militarism, and the characters wore kimonos, which was criticized as being "not appropriate for Liberation Day."
