'Squid Game 2' fails to win the Golden Globe Award for Best Picture... "Give the trophy to the Shogun"

Netflix original series 'Squid Game 2' failed to win Best Picture at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk said in a previous interview, "When the season was divided, I gave up my expectations for the awards ceremony," but added, "I was shocked that it was included in the top 6 of the most amazing works released in the past year."

It swept all four categories it was nominated for, including Best Picture, Best Actor and Actress, and Best Supporting Actor.

The industry analyzed the background to the success of 'Shogun', saying, "With the success of Asian content such as 'Squid Game', American viewers' resistance to works with subtitles has greatly decreased."
