Andong MBC announced that it planned 'Korean Bishop Dubong' as a special documentary for its 54th anniversary and vividly conveyed to viewers the life of Bishop Dubong Renado, known as 'Little Jesus', through extensive coverage at home and abroad over the past year.
Bishop Dubong was a Catholic missionary belonging to the Paris Foreign Mission Society in France. He was dispatched to Korea in 1954, right after the Korean War, and served as the first bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Andong. After his retirement, he traveled to areas where there were no cathedrals to spread God's love, and still does today.
Despite his various lecture schedules, he is busy serving as a mentor to those who are struggling and underprivileged.
Bishop Dubong's 70-year life as a priest in Korea is also part of Korea's modern history itself.
Bishop Dubong is loved by Koreans as a stronger leader than anyone else, a warmer priest than anyone else, and a more respected adult than anyone else.
