We are correcting the incorrect reporting by <Media Today> and <Medias> regarding the appointment consent system.

2024-09-14 03:41:06

The articles in "Media Today" and "Medias" on September 12, 2024 related to the appointment consent system contain incorrect facts, and above all, the right of reply is not guaranteed at all as to why KBS did not implement the appointment consent system. .

Article 4 of the Broadcasting Act only states that programming regulations must be enacted and announced, but it is an unreasonable claim that failure to implement the appointment consent system in the programming regulations could be a violation of the Broadcasting Act.

The provision of the consultation results was not done voluntarily by KBS, and was submitted with the consent of the consultant (legal representative) regarding submission.

In particular, the advice provided by one law firm was misleading as if only parts favorable to KBS had been pieced together and submitted even though the entire text had been submitted.
